Namibia, a country in southwest Africa, is distinguished by the Namib Desert along its Atlantic Ocean coast.  Namibia is a fascinating country that boasts an array of cultural and natural experiences for people to enjoy and it is the perfect destination with so many different points of interest.

Windhoek is the capital city and lies in the heart of Namibia. It possesses a unique charm due to the harmonious blend of Africa and European cultures. Its’ name is derived from the Afrikaans meaning „windy corner “.

Swakopmund is a charming little seaside town on Namibia’s western coast and retains a strong German culture – from the cobbled streets and picturesque buildings down to the typical German restaurants and pubs.  Swakopmund is traditionally a holiday spot for locals and foreigners alike, with many opportunities for adventure.  Swakopmund is an ideal place to relax after a few days in the desert; wash off the sand and sample some of the finely brewed local beer and renowned Swakopmund cuisine such as fish, lobster and the utterly delicious Walvis Bay oysters.

Damaraland offers spectacular scenery and a variety of attractions ranging from fascinating geological formations to unique vegetation and the only UNESCO world heritage site in Namibia, the largest collection of ancient rock art in Southern Africa.  The Damaraland is part of the Kunene Region in the north-west of Namibia and is located between the Brandberg and the little village of Sesfontein and is characterized by its rocky and rugged landscapes and fascinating beauty.  Desert adapted elephants, lions and black rhinos are the animals most people come to see, but other wildlife includes gemsbok, kudu, eland and springbok.

Etosha National Park is the gateway to Northern Namibia and Ovamboland, therefor it is a very popular stop on any Namibian tour. It is well-known as Namibia’s prime wildlife location.  Etosha means the “Great White Area” because of the dried pan in the middle of the Etosha National Park

The Caprivi Strip is situated in the North-East of Namibia and is blessed with good rainfalls. The name Caprivi or Caprivi Strip is still in common use although the region had been officially renamed to Zambezi in 2013. Due to the abundance of water the Caprivi boasts a special and diverse flora and fauna. Three National Parks are found here namely the Bwabwata, Mudumu and Mamili National Park. Animal species such as Elephants, Buffalos, Hippos, Crocodiles, Lions, Leopards, African wild dogs, Sable and Roan Antelope, Waterbuck, Sitatunga, Lechwe, Bush Buck, Zebra, Kudu, Impala and about 450 bird species are found here.

Kasane is a town in the northeastern corner of Botswana, near the borders with Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe. It's the gateway to Chobe National Park.

Victoria Falls, one of the greatest attractions in Africa and one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the world, Victoria Falls is located on the Zambezi River, the fourth largest river in Africa, which is also defining the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. The noise of Victoria Falls can be heard from a distance of 40 km, while the spray and mist from the falling water is rising to a height of over 400 meters and can be seen from a distance of 50 km.

Chobe National Park is in northern Botswana near the vast, inland Okavango DeltaIt is the Elephant Capital of Africa. With its’ massive elephant populations, it also offers riverboat safaris, sunset cruises, riverfront safari lodges and top-quality game drives.

Moremi Game Reserve is a protected area in Botswana. It lies on the eastern side of the Okavango Delta and was named after Chief Moremi of the BaTawana tribe. Moremi was designated as a game reserve, rather than a National Park, when it was created. This designation meant that the BaSarwa or Bushmen that lived there were allowed to stay in the Reserve. Moremi Game Reserve covers much of the eastern side of the Okavango Delta and combines permanent water with drier areas.

The Kalahari Desert is a large semi-arid sandy Savanna in Southern Africa.  A semi-desert, with huge tracts of excellent grazing after good rains, the Kalahari supports more animals and plants than a true desert.
